[Written yesterday in a journal]
Snowpocalypse, Day #2
The power went off last night around 11pm. I had thought it would go out sometime during the snowpocalypse, but not this early! It kinda defeats the purpose of the snowpocalypse blog I made yesterday.
Anyway, heat isn't working, but luckily, we still have a gas powered stove. We've been using that for most of our meals (omelets for the win!). We've been trying to eat everything in the refrigerator first, since it will go bad soon. Unforgivably, we have no shower, and no hot water.
I shoveled snow for 2.5 hours today alone. It's really hard since it snowed at least 2, maybe 3 feet so far. My family's concentrated their effort on digging out the driveway. We'll have to leave the house and drive to a hotel if it gets really cold in the house. It's getting really cold...
It's barley past 6:00pm, but it feels like I should go to sleep soon. I never thought the snowpocalypse would happen this fast. We've got a battery powered radio, which is good. The snow stopped around 4:30 today, but there's going to be more on Tuesday. There's no way we can go to school until at least Wednesday.
I feel like this actually is an apocalyptic situation. It's exciting, but also annoying! You never know when someone you love will try and eat your arm... I've put 10 blankets on my bed to try and keep warm, but tonight will be very cold.
Hopefully the power will go back on tomorrow. I really want to watch Lost!
