I took my dog outside for the first time since the snowpocalypse began. Before that she had a doggy door, and could move around the backyard a little bit, but she's gotten stir-crazy. So I went out. It was an enlightening experience. Most of the side walks weren't shoveled, the people in the houses most likely died. So we walked in the street. No cars went by. The wind blew so hard once, that I literally couldn't see anything for a few seconds. It was a short walk.
School is canceled for the rest of the week. The teachers are all trapped in their houses, so I'm getting a bit of cabin fever. It was nice to go outside, even with all the dangers.

Survivor #17: Bloody Snow
Snow. I always loved snow as a kid. But, now, there's no turning back. This snow turns blood red with the blood of those who've died. It's like a river of red stretching for miles over an open country. Little houses, or what's left of them, dot the landscape. But, there's too much snow and to me it really looks like a white blanket of death. I haven't made human contact in forever. I only know of one other survivor and that's the one who found this blog. This is like a safe haven for us. My family thought it was going to be a good idea to go out in the snow yesterday. "Just for some shoveling," They said. I begged them not to go, I knew it couldn't be safe, they'd heard the screams from nextdoor too. Of course, those lovely fools, they went anyways! The snow came casading down from the roof. It crushed them clean againest the asphalt. I ran out and dug them out, they're all alive.
But, the memories of the furious killer Snowpocalypse is still fresh in my mind. My brother even thought it would be okay for him to go out again. The snow was lashing out and abandoning us all to our humans. We had power, but we lost heat. As the tempuratures fell fast we were left to huddle together in the only room without any windows. I fear, that already, some people are turning to cannibalism. I may seem that I am overreacting, but this is no joke. The name Snowpocalypse is fitting enough. My brother has been seathing at the mouth lately as our food portions wither. We have to be careful, but at times I fear that some people amongest my family are already going to become on of them. Among my family we've grown to calling them Nightcreatures. They only thrive off the night and human flesh. It's not a dog's leg bone that's out in the street, the red blood is too red and the image of it too vivid to be anything else then that of a human. I'm freezing and hungy. The snow and the Nightcreatures are bad enough, but all of it together, I fear for the worst.

Suvivor #24: Day #2
[Written yesterday in a journal]
Snowpocalypse, Day #2
The power went off last night around 11pm. I had thought it would go out sometime during the snowpocalypse, but not this early! It kinda defeats the purpose of the snowpocalypse blog I made yesterday.
Anyway, heat isn't working, but luckily, we still have a gas powered stove. We've been using that for most of our meals (omelets for the win!). We've been trying to eat everything in the refrigerator first, since it will go bad soon. Unforgivably, we have no shower, and no hot water.
I shoveled snow for 2.5 hours today alone. It's really hard since it snowed at least 2, maybe 3 feet so far. My family's concentrated their effort on digging out the driveway. We'll have to leave the house and drive to a hotel if it gets really cold in the house. It's getting really cold...
It's barley past 6:00pm, but it feels like I should go to sleep soon. I never thought the snowpocalypse would happen this fast. We've got a battery powered radio, which is good. The snow stopped around 4:30 today, but there's going to be more on Tuesday. There's no way we can go to school until at least Wednesday.
I feel like this actually is an apocalyptic situation. It's exciting, but also annoying! You never know when someone you love will try and eat your arm... I've put 10 blankets on my bed to try and keep warm, but tonight will be very cold.
Hopefully the power will go back on tomorrow. I really want to watch Lost!

Suvivor #24: Food Rations...
Not exactly the most interesting thing in the world, but it's really important if you want to live through the snowpocalypse. It's important to find out how long your food will last early on to prevent panic and cannibalism in the coming weeks of snow.
Noodles: Uncooked noodles are useless. If you want to eat them, your going to need both water and a working stove. Later in the snowpocalypse, that will probably be impossible to get. So you should pre-cook all your noodles, and eat them later.
Items that Need to Be Refrigerated: First off, count up how many meals you have in your refrigerator. If the power goes out, you'll have 3-4 days to eat the food, depending on how cold your house is and the general conditions. Try to eat meals out of the frigerator early on, espically thouse

The Great Snowpocalypse of 2010
The world was supposed to end in 2012. I think the mayans got it wrong by two years. The snowpocalypse has come, and before it is over the world will never be the same. Twenty four inches, two feet, enough to bury small children will come down just this weekend, with more coming. Will we survive? Doubtful. Here is the story of survivors, struggling to make it through. This is our story, the story of...
